Advanced Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Training:
The Office of the Provost proudly announces a unique advanced training opportunity in working against racism and other forms of oppression coming to our campus this April. The University of Northern Iowa will host international leaders in social justice education for a special three-day workshop offered by the UNI chapter of the National Coalition Building Institute – UNI-NCBI. Our campus community will have a unique opportunity to gain advanced skills in cultural competence, social justice advocacy, diversity appreciation and inclusive practices, including learning how to challenge oppression.
NCBI’s internationally acclaimed Campus Program and Constituency Directors Robert Dungey and Joyce Shabazz will share with us their expert skills and inspiring wisdom in a highly engaging and interactive format. We are very fortunate to be able to present this empowering experience, offered at only a very limited number of select campuses throughout the nation.
